Hi, my name is Cameron. When I was growing up, taking music lessons meant working out of a book, focusing on fundamentals, and playing simple songs designed to teach you specific skills. My teacher noticed that I quickly grew bored with that approach and called an audible. He started asking me to bring a song to each lesson that I wanted to learn. On the spot, he would learn how to play it and teach it back to me. My interest level grew exponentially.

He may not have known it at the time, but he planted the seed for a lifetime of loving music. Not only loving music, but pursuing a career in music. As I’ve gotten older, people have asked me to give them guitar lessons. Following the approach of my first teacher, I decided to continue the concepts I learned in my early years. “Tell me what songs you want to learn,” I’d say, “and I will show you how to play them.” All of that led me to ask the question: is this something more people would be interested in?

Don’t Fret! Guitar Courses are four and eight week, in-person courses, designed for groups up to ten people, that focus on songs by one artist. Ever wonder how Ed Sheeran plays “Thinking Out Loud”? Or how Taylor Swift plays “Lover”? Or, perhaps how James Taylor plays “Fire and Rain”? This is the place for you! Next to each series you’ll find a short description that details what skill level and chords to expect, as well as what songs we’ll learn. Not interested in a series? Skip it! The schedule of classes will be updated throughout the year, with a wide range of artists and songs to choose from. I hope you’ll consider joining me on this journey!
